SOMATIC HEALING
Somatic Healing operates on the belief that our emotions, thoughts and physical sensations are all deeply connected. In Somatic focused practices, we bring our awareness to how the body processes and expresses trauma and painful experiences, applying mind-body healing to aid with recovery. The goal of this body centered approach is to ease the body out of a prolonged “fight or flight” response, build awareness of the mind-body connection and to be more in tune with our physiological sensations and how they reflect our emotional state.
This is accomplished by combining grounding and centering practices to help you feel more embodied and connect your proprioceptive awareness to interoception. By leveraging the wisdom of your body, mind, and emotions, Somatic practices aim to promote healing, self awareness, integration and regulation.
